Workshop Topics

Workshop topics include:

Table Etiquette and Protocol

Students will master table manners and basic dining etiquette, including how to set the table, handle various foods, engage in proper table conversations, and use utensils correctly. This knowledge will prepare them for any dining scenario with confidence.

Communication Skills
In this workshop, students participate in role-playing activities to learn the art of personal communication. They will practice proper greetings and introductions, develop conversation and listening skills, and enhance their public speaking and telephone etiquette. These skills are crucial for building strong interpersonal relationships.

Sitting & Walking (For Young Ladies)
Young ladies will learn to walk gracefully with heads held high and maintain good posture while sitting. They will also be taught how to enter and exit a vehicle with elegance. This interactive workshop boosts confidence and poise.

Chivalry (For Young Men)
Young men will understand that chivalry is about using proper etiquette and manners around women. Through role-playing, they will practice holding doors open, offering seats, escorting, and seating ladies. These actions highlight the respect and consideration that define a gentleman.

Personal Hygiene
Both young ladies and men will learn the essentials of personal hygiene, including flossing and brushing teeth, hand washing, taking daily baths or showers, and wearing clean, ironed clothes. These habits are foundational for a healthy and polished appearance.

Tea Etiquette
Participants will distinguish between High Tea and Afternoon Tea, and learn the dos and don'ts of a tea party. They will be guided on napkin use, holding a cup, managing a saucer, handling a tea bag, and the order of eating from different tiers. This workshop ensures they can enjoy tea parties with sophistication.

Self-Esteem & Self-Image (For Young Ladies)
This workshop focuses on building self-esteem and self-image. Young ladies will explore their unique beauty and potential through interactive activities designed to boost confidence and nurture a positive self-image.

Enrolling your child in a Youth Etiquette Workshop will help them develop skills they can be proud of. These workshops foster an environment where young individuals can learn to love themselves, respect others, and become shining stars in their communities.

Mrs. Wilder was able to come to my school twice and complete two classes. She discussed the proper way to greet someone and how to formally shake hands with another person. She shared a variety of examples and the use of slides that she used to present her content. She was very knowledgeable and gentle when presenting. What I loved most was the time she used to allow the girls to practice what they had learned. They were able to pair up and demonstrate what they learned, while Mrs. Wilder worked with individuals that needed a little extra help. She was warm and welcoming towards all.
